Locke is Player's,player of the year.

Friday night saw the annual Merthyr RFC presentation evening held at the clubhouse. Guest speak was Roland Phillips who is now the head coach of the Welsh Women side. Nigel Davies CEO welcome the guest which included The Mayor, Local Councillors, Local P.M. and also several sponsors, JNP, Watkins coaches, and Phil Price commercial vehicles. Nigel outlined the great success of the side winning the Principality Premiership title for the 3rd conservative season and also reaching the WRU cup final for the second year running but losing out to Cardiff RFC. Also the excitement of the proposed new clubhouse up at the wern, which will hopefully have the go-ahead during the close season. The club patron Sir Stanley Thomas thanked the coaches and players for their efforts during another successful season, and also to the backroom staff. Club chairman Paul Lewis then officiated the presentation of the awards to the players and staff.

This was my first year back as a supporter for many years and what a year. Shame Merthyr didn't do the treble (that had something to do with the ref lol). Congratulations on another fantastic year, good luck for the next.
