Our Goals

To build, from the ground up, an inclusive rugby club that sponsors all levels of play including Mini, Junior, Youth, Girls, and Senior Men’s teams;

To encourage the development of a rugby family ethos, providing the warmest welcome to new players and providing mentoring support for all;

To highly value volunteers, fostering positive growth of the game and providing support of every club member both on and off the field;

To dedicate ourselves to the creation of a professionally run rugby organisation with the highest quality coaching staff, who are passionate, to engage players and supporters who will support its growth; and

To welcome and to provide a home Club for all, as players, as coaches, as volunteers and as supporters.

Merthyr RFC is a very successful Indigo Premiership Rugby & Community Club that proudly represents our home town and surrounding communities. We strive to work in partnership with local and national businesses, working to ensure we collaborate in our delivery, maximising the potential of joint success. In addition to the many competitive fixtures played at the Wern Sports Park, including the First Fifteen, and our Mini, Junior and Youth Teams, all of which generate healthy spectator attendance, we have a strong online presence, with an established website, and two active social media accounts. This includes more than 8,700 unique followers on X, and 8,900 followers to our Facebook Page. All these channels would be available to you as a club partner to promote your partnership and also to inform our supporters and the wider public.

We have a large number of successful partnership and sponsorship deals, working with companies of all sizes, from large national organisations, to smaller, local businesses. We have numerous opportunities available to partners and sponsors, with packages including website advertising, match sponsorship, pitch-side hoardings, match programme adverts, kit branding, player sponsorship (including our Minis, Juniors and Youth Teams), all available at competitive rates. Examples of which are shown below:

Price includes match day entry for ten guests to a game of your choice. Package includes a dedicated table in our main function room,  including access to the veranda from where you can view the game, a package of alcoholic beverages and a post-match buffet for you and your guests. Company name included in match day programme, referenced on the match day announcement system and acknowledged on the club’s social media platforms.
