The Club Mourn The Passing Of Peter Thomas CBE

Merthyr RFC are saddened to learn of the passing of Cardiff Rugby Life President, Peter Thomas CBE. Mr Thomas, brother to Club Patron Sir Stanley Thomas, passed away peacefully at home in the early hours of Wednesday morning, with his family by his side. Mr Thomas enjoyed a more than six decade association with Cardiff Rugby, both in a playing and administrative capacity, including twenty-two years as Chairman. Mr Thomas, his influence and presence will be hugely missed across Welsh rugby, his legacy at Cardiff long-lasting.

Our immediate thoughts at this extremely sad and difficult time, are with wife Babs, four children Holly, Deborah, Steph and Rhod, and his nine grandchildren. Our thoughts are also with Club Patron Sir Stanley Thomas and his family. Rest in peace.
