We are delighted to announce Phil Powell as our newest life member. With more than 400 appearances, scoring more than 200 tries and a fifty plus year association with our club, with time as coach and committeeman, a richly deserved recognition.

Phil, one of the original big ball carrying wingers, joined the #Ironmen in 1974 having previously played rugby for the Army and with neighbours at Cefn Coed RFC. Phil represented our club in fourteen consecutive seasons, our centenary year a true highlight, playing 52 of 53 games that season and scoring a club record 28 tries. Interestingly, the game he missed was to attend a wedding.

Club Chairman Craig Dummett and Exec & Life Member Paul Lewis visited Phil recently to award a club cap and letter, detailing the award.
